We are looking for a responsible, hardworking, and reliable Cleaner / Housekeeper to join our team in Porbandar, the “White City” known for its pristine coastal beauty and historic heritage. As part of our team in Mahatma Gandhi’s birthplace, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and hospitality, ensuring our facility reflects the city’s reputation for peace and order.

Key Responsibilities

• Sanitization & Upkeep: Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, office spaces, common lobby areas, and washrooms to provide a safe and spotless environment.
• Surface Care: Perform daily dusting, mopping, and deep floor cleaning. Special care should be taken with white stone or marble surfaces, common in Porbandar’s architecture, to maintain their shine.
• Waste Management: Manage efficient waste segregation and disposal, adhering to local environmental guidelines to keep our coastal city clean.
• Supply Management: Regularly monitor and refill cleaning supplies, fresh linens, and guest amenities (soaps, tissues, etc.) to ensure a seamless experience.
• Safety Protocols: Strictly follow health, safety, and chemical handling protocols, ensuring proper signage (like “Wet Floor”) is used in high-traffic zones.
• Equipment Maintenance: Properly handle and maintain cleaning tools such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and industrial mops.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Basic literacy is preferred to understand safety labels, chemical instructions, and duty rosters.
• Technical Skill: Knowledge of different cleaning agents and the ability to use specialized equipment safely.
• Physical Stamina: High energy levels and physical fitness to manage large areas and manual tasks in a coastal climate.
• Professionalism: A polite, disciplined, and proactive attitude with a strong eye for detail.
• Languages: Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi is essential for coordinating with the team and local residents.

Experience

• 1–3 years preferred in housekeeping or professional cleaning roles.
• Prior experience in reputed hotels, heritage properties (like Kirti Mandir vicinity), or hospitals in the Saurashtra region is a significant advantage.
