We are looking for a creative, skilled, and story-driven Video Editor to join our content team in Porbandar, the “White City” of Gujarat. Your mission will be to weave visual narratives that showcase Porbandar’s dual identity: its deep-rooted history as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and its vibrant, sun-drenched coastal lifestyle along the Arabian Sea.
Key Responsibilities
- Post-Production: Edit raw footage into high-quality videos for tourism promotions, maritime heritage features, and major cultural celebrations (such as Janmashtami and Navratri).
- Technical Polish: Apply cinematic color grading (capturing the unique “White City” aesthetic), smooth transitions, immersive sound design, and text overlays in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
- Content Variety: Create engaging short-form content (Reels/Shorts) featuring the Porbandar Chowpati and long-form documentaries on historical landmarks like Kirti Mandir and the ancient Huzur Palace.
- Collaboration: Partner with local creators and photographers to align visual storytelling with the peaceful, value-driven identity of the region.
- Project Management: Manage multiple edits simultaneously, from wildlife features at the Porbandar Bird Sanctuary to the industrial energy of the local port.
- Authenticity: Ensure videos reflect the local “Saurashtra” spirit, folk traditions, and the serene maritime culture of the city.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Video Editing, Mass Media, or a related field is preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Experience with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics is a plus.
- Storytelling: A strong creative eye with the ability to edit for rhythm, pace, and emotional impact.
- Linguistic Skill: Proficiency in Gujarati and Hindi is essential for accurate subtitling and syncing local interviews/folk music.
- Digital Trends: Deep understanding of platform-specific formats (9:16 vs. 16:9) and current viral editing styles.
Experience
- 2–5 years preferred in video editing, particularly in tourism, documentary, or digital marketing.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio featuring travel, heritage, or lifestyle content is highly desirable.
