We are looking for a professional, well-organized, and friendly Receptionist / Front Office Executive to join our team in Porbandar, the “White City” and a historic coastal hub known for its maritime heritage and as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. As the first point of contact for our guests and clients, you will play a crucial role in representing our brand with the warmth, peace, and hospitality that defines this iconic Gujarati city.
Key Responsibilities
- First Impressions: Greet and assist visitors and guests with a professional and welcoming “Namaste,” ensuring a smooth and respectful entry into our facility.
- Communication Hub: Efficiently handle incoming phone calls, respond to emails, and manage general front-desk correspondence with clarity and poise.
- Operational Management: Maintain a tidy and serene reception area, manage visitor logs, and coordinate appointment schedules for the team.
- Administrative Support: Assist with guest registrations, check-in/check-out procedures, and basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and basic bookkeeping.
- Local Assistance: Provide guests with accurate local information regarding Porbandar’s landmarks (like Kirti Mandir and Chowpati), transport options, and essential city services.
- Access Control: Follow established security protocols and maintain visitor access control to ensure a safe and professional environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High School Diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related fields is preferred.
- IT Literacy: Good computer knowledge, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Word) and email management.
- Linguistic Proficiency: Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi is essential; a working knowledge of English is required for interacting with diverse visitors.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills with a calm, patient demeanor reflective of the city’s culture.
- Professionalism: A polished appearance and a genuinely customer-centric, helpful attitude.
Experience
- 1–3 years preferred in a front office, reception, hotel, or corporate office role.
- Previous experience in the service or hospitality sector in Porbandar or the Saurashtra region is a significant advantage.
